I taught instrumental music in the public schools for twenty-eight years. During that time we were always searching for ways to introduce music to more students. I am confident that providing guitar labs will yield a huge harvest of new young musicians. The "Complete Guide for the Guitar" is a wonderful method book for accomplishing that task. I am particularly impressed with the way that author Cathy Ellis provides for the multi level classroom. What a great way to reach more students at the junior high and high school level. Maybe it is time to allow the millions of children that are attracted to the guitar a chance to learn it in our public schools. Can't you just see 100 guitarists marching at the halftime show of the football game?
