DONN LEGGE
JAZZ-POP-ROCK GUITARIST, Recording Artist/Author/Educator.
Mr. Legge is equally at home playing classical
guitar as he is with jazz-pop-and rock.
During his years as an educator, Mr. Legge
has had one of the top guitar programs in
the country at Miami Killian Senior High School in Miami, Florida. He also conducted the
Honors Guitar Performances for Miami-Dade County Schools for several years, as well as conducting
the Guitar Evaluation Festivals for the National Association of Classroom Guitar
Teachers (NACGT) for which he served as President
of the Association for over five years. He
has also conducted Guitar Clinics at the
MENC, NMEA and UMEA Conventions.
In addition, Mr. Legge is the co-director
of the Guitar Camp for University of Miami's "Guitar, Bass-Guitar and Drumset" Camp, a position he has held for the past seven
years.
Mr. Legge's education includes a Masters
in Studio Jazz Music with an emphasis in
Jazz Guitar from the University of Miami
(Florida).
Professionally, Mr. Legge has performed with
Rich Little, Trini Lopez, Gogi Grant and The Mike Lewis Orchestra. Currently, he Performs with the band "Blues Train" in the South Coast Massachusetts area. His recordings include the CD's for "The Holiday Guitar" Volume 2, "Romantic Guitar" Level 1 & 2, Volume 1, "Patriotic Guitar" Volume 1, "The Guitar Sightreader" Volume 1, "The Special Supplement" Volume 1 "In My Mother's Eyes" (EFM Label), "Fernando & Me" (EFM Label) "Stayin' Well" (EFM Label), "In My Father's House" (EFM Label) and "Brand New World!" (EFM Label).
Currently Mr. Legge is working on several
publications for EFM including the new "The Guitar Sightreader" and several CD projects. He is also teaching and performing in the Boston area.
